Alanna sees her main role as collaboratively promoting change in the
coachee’s process of learning and growth in achieving their goals. Her primary
framework is Cognitive Behavioural Coaching – an active focused way of
working that provides powerful strategies for positive change in
behaviour, thinking and attitudes - although Alanna is comfortable and
experienced in using a range of approaches adapted to the coachee’s
learning style and individual requirements. Alanna works towards a
coaching relationship that is both supportive and challenging, believing
that this aspect of coaching psychology can add value.
Background experience
Following a career in the financial sector with 3i Group as an investment
analyst and Fund Manager, Alanna trained as an applied psychologist. Her
City background, coupled with a range of business, professional, clinical
and life experiences bring a broad range of dimensions to her work as a
coach. Alanna has worked actively as an Executive Officer and in a number
of roles for the Special Group in Coaching Psychology since its inception
in 2004 as a member network of the
British
Psychological Society.
Qualifications
Alanna is a Chartered Psychologist, an HPC Registered Counselling
Psychologist, a Coaching Psychologist, and abides by the Codes of
Conduct, Ethics and Practice of the
British
Psychological Society, the Health Professions
Council, the Society for Coaching Psychology and the
Association for Coaching.
Alanna is also
an accredited member of the
Society for Coaching Psychology, and a full member of both the
Association for Coaching and the
International Stress Management
Association UK.
